The BioProximity Security System developed by Access Denied Systems provides the best security available on the market today The system combines leading edge RF proximity cards and fingerprint authentication to control access to PC's and computer networks running Windows 2000 or XP operating systems. The BioProximity Security System uses a valid fingerprint and RF proximity card to allow a user to login on a stand-alone PC or workstation. The system will automatically secure the keyboard, mouse, and screen when the user wearing the RF badge leaves the vicinity of the workstation. The user does not have to log out every time they leave the workstation. When the user returns, the System recognizes their presence and requests authentication via fingerprint scan. The software immediately recognizes the valid user and returns to the most recent application on which they were working. There is no need to remember passwords. A workstation can have unlimited authorized users, and a user can be authorized for unlimited workstations. The proximity range can be set from 1 to 30 feet.

The BioProximity Security System® consists of an RF Proximity receiver, an RF active badge and battery, a fingerprint scanner, scanner base and a CD containing the BioProximity system software.

The RF Proximity receiver attaches to the computer's serial port and the fingerprint scanner attaches to a USB port on the computer.

The Bio Sonar Security System® consists of a sonar sensor unit,, a fingerprint scanner, scanner base and a CD containing the Bio Sonar®software. The sonar unit attaches to the computer's monitor and both the sonar sensor unit and the fingerprint scanner attach to the USB ports on the computer (Two ports are required - a USB hub may be used)..

The Bio Sonar Security System® works with sonar technology to detect the presence of a user within a predefined distance to the computer.

The Proximity Security System software maintains the list of user-defined authorized badges and enables you to select an activation distance from 3 to 30 feet. When an authorized user is within the proximity of the computer, the user is allowed access to the system. When he or she leaves the specified proximity, the computer goes into "sleep mode", a screen saver is displayed, and the keyboard is deactivated.

The software also maintains an access log that is available for printing which contains a list of users and times that the workstation was accessed.

When an authorized user is within the specified range, the Proximity Security software unlocks the keyboard and the original screen is redisplayed, allowing access. The system does not respond to unauthorized users.

The system includes a base unit that attaches to the serial port on the computer, a badge and the Proximity Security System software. Each badge contains a miniature transmitter that constantly transmits an encoded badge identifier. No two badges have the same code.
