The HiTi Card Printers utilize HiTi's Dye Diffusion Thermal Transfer Technology (D2T2) employing a color ribbon coated with special yellow, magenta, cyan, black dyes and a layer of protective over coating (YMCKO) that are thermally transferred in sequence to the card in 256 levels and with graduation for a total of 16.77 million colors in continuous tone.

Prints regular YMCKO in 25seconds and prints in Premium photo mode in 32 seconds. The software driver is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Mac OS 10.2 and above. Uses USB 1.1. Optional encoding modules include: ISO magnetic stripe card encoder, Dual high and low coercivity, contact and contactless Smart Card Encoding.
