Badges you can’t miss.
Now you can eliminate the expense and hassle of pre-printing ID badges with color-coded borders and other security features. The HDP600 CR100 prints sharp, colorful photos and graphics over-the-edge of standard CR-100 cards. It uses Fargo’s patented High Definition Printing™ (HDP®) technology to print on the underside of a film that adheres to the card.

By sandwiching the image between card and film, your oversized ID badges become more durable and tamper-evident. If some-one tries to alter a badge by peeling apart its layers, the printed image is destroyed.

The HDP600 CR100 can also print on both sides of a badge in one pass. Even with a big color photo on the front, there’s plenty of space on the back for black-and-white text, bar codes and digital signatures. Dual-sided printing is an important security feature too, since counterfeiters don’t often get a good look at both sides of an authentic card.

ID cards should reflect your organization’s pride, and the HDP5000 produces ID cards with the highest image quality available — High Definition cards. By printing a reverse image on the underside of HDPFilm, then fusing the film to the card surface, the HDP5000 creates an image quality that looks more like a crisp glossy photo than an ordinary ID badge. High Definition Printing has big advantages beyond good looks. Printing on film instead of directly on the card means that the uneven surface of technology cards can’t affect image quality, or damage printheads. The HDP5000 can print up to the edge of smart chip contacts, and over-the-edge of the card. Cards produced by High Definition Printing are in herently more durable and secure than other types of cards. They resist wear and tear by putting a durable layer of HDP Film between the card image and the outside world. They’re also very secure and tamper-evident. If a counterfeiter tries to peel apart the layers, the image essentially destroys itself.
