FARGO offers the ultimate flexibility in E-card personalization. Many FARGO Professional Card Printer/Encoders are available with an internal E-Card Docking Station and one, two or three E-Card Encoders to support ISO 7816 contact smart cards, Mifare® contactless smart cards, and HID proximity cards. Cards are printed, encoded, then potentially tested and laminated, all in the same automated process.

The E-Card Docking station maybe factory-installed without an encoder to accommodate an externally mounted third-party encoder for smart cards. Qualified systems integrators can customize the E-Card Docking Station with electronics to meet the unique specifications of any smart card system.

Many Fargo printers may also be equipped with Magnetic Stripe encoding. The FARGO encoder supports dual high-/low-coercivity and tracks 1, 2 and 3.
