Logical Access control products may be applied in either stand alone or networked environments. These products may require a user to present or scan an ID badge or access card in addition to the use of a login password in order to gain access to a workstation. These products may also require the use of a biometric identifier in addition to or instead of a login password. Access options may require a single token such as password, card or biometric or they may require a combination of tokens such as card and biometric, card and password, or biometric and password.

Precise 100 AX is a fingerprint reader for PC and network access control. Fingerprints replace passwords and make the logon procedure quick and easy for the user. By using Precise 100 AX, it is possible to achieve an increased level of security in line with existing IT policies while saving time and money on password administration issues.

Being one of the most compact biometric devices on the market, the Precise 100 AX attracts a wide range of users. Its ergonomic design makes fingerprint placement problem-free and usage successful. It plug-and-play installs in the following Windows environments: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98 and Windows Me.

Precise 100 AX is compatible with the BioAPI and HA-API-compliant Precise BioMatch™ Standard software. With Precise BioMatch™ Standard all fingerprint information is stored and matched on a server or on a PC. Together with a stand-alone smart card reader, Precise 100 AX can also be used with the Precise Match-on-Card™ software Precise BioMatch™ Pro.

Precise 100 MC, the second-generation combined fingerprint and smart card reader, takes biometric security one step further.

The Precise 100 MC uses 2-factor authentication, which means that you must present both a valid smart card, where fragments of your fingerprint are securely stored, and your fingerprint. The fingerprint is matched within the safe and tamper-proof environment of the smart card, using Precise Match-on-Card™ technology.

Precise 100 MC supports the US Department of Defense’s smart card security solution, the Common Access Card. It is compatible with the Precise BioMatch™ ProToolkit and the BioAPI-compliant Precise BioMatch™ Standard.

Perfect for commercial and government users, the Precise 200 MC combination fingerprint and smart card reader, provides strong biometric security architecture and 2-factor authentication. To enhance security and privacy, all required biometric matching and smart card functionality is processed within the device using an embedded microprocessor platform. In addition, all information is stored and processed within the secure environment of the reader or the smart card.

Engineered for office applications requiring secure and accurate biometric authentication, Precise 200 MC offers enhanced performance and strengthened protection. The 200 MC is ideal for daily logical access control for single-user authentication.

The Precise 200 MC uses the patented Precise Match-on-Card technology which allows for the secure storing and matching of the fingerprint template to take place on the smart card. Security is optimized with 2-factor authentication requiring the user to present both their fingerprint and a valid smart card. Precise 200 MC is designed for Windows XP and 2000 environments, but integrates easily into other platforms thanks to CCID compliance and standardized USB interface.
